With the focus of her research on mothers in theatre and the intersections of capitalism in American society, Natalie brings a critical and thought-provoking perspective to her work both on stage and in academia.
Natalie's MFA thesis, titled Mother Actors: How can we realistically support mothers working in the theatre?, investigates the challenges faced by mothers who pursue acting careers. Through personal interviews with actors in the United States and abroad, alongside evidence-based research, the study examines the barriers these mothers confront within a societal context and industry that frequently undervalues their contributions.
